Ilocos Sur Vice Governor, Jeremias "Jerry" C. Singson is truly an advocate of the impoverished. He continuously seeks ways and means to cater the needs of the indigents.
Through the Botika ng Barangay (BnB) presentation made by Director Jose Manuel Tuason of the Office of the Political Coalition Affairs (OPCA) during the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines (LVGP) National Assembly in Palawan last November 20, 2008, Vice Governor Singson as the National Chairman of the LVGP grabbed the opportunity to enable his provincemates avail of the BnB.
His dedication to his vows is evident through series of JCSF-sponsored Botika ng Barangay (BnB) Operator's Training that is continuously held in various municipalities of Ilocos Sur, in collaboration with the Department of Health Regional Office No. 1. The seminar does not only help ease the burdens of barangay residents the high cost of medicines; they can also generate extra income for the BnB operators and their respective barangays.
Right after the LVGP National Assembly, Vice Governor Singson immediately coordinated with the OPCA thru USec. Oscar Inocentes. Generously, OPCA replied with the call of the province for a BnB training.
