With the successful coordination of the Office of Vice Governor Jeremias "Jerry" C. Singson, the Office of the Political Coalition Affairs (OPCA) and the Center for Health Development Regional Office No. 1 (CHD-1), the first Botika ng Barangay (BnB) Operators' Training was held at the People Center of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur last January 29, 2009.
The training was formally welcomed by Narvacan Mayor Eduardo Zaragoza at 9:00 AM and emphasized the municipality's gratitude to the Office of Vice Governor and OPCA for this initiative that certainly will benefit the whole municipality. Vice Governor Singson offered his challenge to the soon-to-be operators to effectively manage the BnB. OPCA Director Jose Manuel Tuason graced the occasion with brief discussion of the importance of every BnB Training as part of the advocacy of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
The participants to the seminar was Barangay Health Workers of the Municipalities of Santa and Narvacan. Trainers were led by Mr. Francisco de Vera of the CHD 1.
